Book Bank
This section of the library is meant for students who cannot afford to buy textbooks. Needy students can borrow books from this section and keep them till the annual examinations are over. They will pay 20% cost of the book received. This amount will be used for further development of the Book Bank. Maximum two books per subject may be issued to a student from this section.
Rules For Library Use
- Every student will be given two non-transferable Readers Tickets. In case of loss of the Readers Tickets the Librarian should be informed immediately. A new ticket will be issued on payment of Rs. 100/-
- Books will be issued for a period of 15 days only- each day of delay will be penalized by a fine of Re 2/-.
- Maximum two books may be issued to a student. No book will be reissued on the same day.
- A student may be asked to return a book even before it is due to be returned in case it is urgently required.
- A student should satisfy herself about the condition of the book at the time of issue; otherwise she will be held responsible for its condition.
- If a book is lost or mutilated it will have to be replaced or double its price must be deposited with the cashier against proper money receipt.
- Writing on books, tearing pages from the books and magazines is a serious offence and will be strictly dealt with appropriate fines and penalties.
- Certain categories of books like reference books, rare books, damaged books, bound volumes and periodicals will not be issued out.
- Magazines will be issued for reading in the Reading Room against the Identity Card.
- Students must return back all the books and take a No Dues certificate enabling the college to hand over them “Permission Letter” to enter in an examination hall.
- A security deposit of Rs. 1,000 will be collected at the time of admission and refunded at the end of the academic year when all books taken out are returned otherwise it will be kept to offset the loss of missing books.
