Rules For Admission and Re-Admission

Some of the current rules governing admission to the hostel are as follows:
  1. At the time of admission the candidate and his parents/guardian shall be required to give an undertaking for good conduct, payment of dues in time, adherence to college/hostel rules to be enforced by the college from time to time.
  2. Admission to the hostel cannot be claimed as a matter of right by those who have been residents in the preceding year. There will be no automatic admission to the Hostel to 2nd year and 3rd year student.
  3. The list of candidates admitted to 2nd year and 3rd year classes will be notified on the notice board and fresh allotment of the rooms announced.
  4. Hostel residents are advised to maintain attendance as per rules of the University lest they should invite punitive action.
  5. It will be the responsibility of the residents to safeguard their valuables & cash.
  6. Residents are required to vacate their rooms within five days of their last University Examination and hand over the keys of their rooms to the Warden, failing which they not be admitted to the hostel the following year even if otherwise eligible. The Principal/Warden is authorized to remove the belonging in the room if any & put an official lock on the room.
  7. The college reserves the right to expel any student any time from the College and Residence Hall for indiscipline and improper behavior.

Student Profile

Students come from more than 50 villages and hamlets representing over 20 different senior higher secondary schools. Students represent nearly all social, income and religious groups in a wide area. A significant majority of students come from Scheduled Castes, Minority and Other Backward Classes as defined by the Government of India.

The college is very pleased to have perceived this very significant benefit of higher education to such a large number of villages, families and social groups. The college hopes they will help build their communities after graduation and create conditions for a sustainable, environmentally friendly development in the area.

Deadlines

All applicants should send in the application by the first week of July. The following documents are required along with the application form:

  1. Transfer Certificate and Character Certificate from the last attended institution
  2. Original Mark sheet of the last examination along with two attested copies of the original
  3. Proof of Date of Birth

Mrs. Helena Kaushik Birthday Scholarhsip - A Rupees 1000 cash scholarship and a certificate to any new student with first division marks entering the college on or after July 22, 2011

August 15th Scholarship

In honor of India's 65th Birthday, the college will award a 50% scholarship to any student entering the college on or after August 15th with a family income up to Rupees 50,000 per year. An income certificate from the government is required.
